The star of the Opening Ceremony and now on display in Centenary Square until the end of September, when it is hoped to find a permanent indoor home. Various names have been suggested for this mechanical bull, which represents the industrial past of Birmingham. My favourite is Ozzy, after the lead singer of Black Sabbath - the Brummie band who pioneered Heavy Metal music back in the 1970s. Seems appropriate somehow!
