Hertha Hoffmann (1907 - 1999) designed many figures for Metzler and Ortloff between 1927 and 1930 while studying at the Royal School of Arts and Crafts in Munich. In 1935 she married the ceramist Otto Hufnagel and they both worked for Max Roesler, Bad Rodach.
