So near yet so far from being The Dream DSLR! The number 1 DSLR to hold in your hands. Weighty, beautifully constructed (no plastic!!), legendary badge and fantastic IS 28-100mm 2.8-3.5 piece of glass. On the other hand its not the number 1 DSLR to use. Whilst the IS lens, contrast, colour, tonality, tac sharp images is all first class the 3fps is very entry consumer/level and the Digilux 3 falls short at 1600 ISO. Very useable up to 800 but 800 is often not enough. IF ONLY!!!!!!!!! I wait patiently for the Digilux 4...........
