Liverpool Street Railway Station
The relocated War Memorial which now occupies a position on the wall of the Great Eastern Hotel. The main building of 50 Liverpool Street was formerly located in this area.
The War Memorial was originally located within the west side, Mainline booking hall on its northern wall. with the Fryatt and Wilson memorials located to it's left and right respectively. The effect of the memorial was diminished by the insertion of a mezzanine floor in the booking hall during the 1960's.
A further War Memorial, for the GER Division of Commerce had been unveiled on 2nd February 1921 in Hamilton House on the station's east side, although the location of this plaque appears to have been lost.
