Empress of Australia (1934)
The Norwegian fjords were popular destinations for cruise ships already in the 1930s. In 1934 Oslo photographer Anders Beer Wilse took this picture of the Canadian Steamship Company ocean liner/cruise ship Australian Empress in the Nordfjord (Western Norway). The Fjord Horse driven hackney probably took him to the best location for the picture.
