Nightvision

The night chill ran up my spine, only 2 more hours on watch and I would warm up before hitting the rack. Mind wandering in the pitch black, suddenly my awareness was instantly on high alert. The ever so slight sound of movement. Lowering my nightvision goggles, I gasped and muttered under my breath, "What the hell is that????"
