Bee Trio. Lasioglossum leucopus/morio, Green Furrow Bee, on Fleshy-stalk Pelargonium, Pelargonium carnosum, Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The Hortus here has a large collection of various Pelargoniums. One of these is the small-flowering Pelargonium carnosum. The 'carnosum' is for the fleshy stalks which carry pretty small flowers. Those flowers are quite attractive to insects, especially to tiny bees. The photo shows two Green Furrow Bees (leucopus) on the same flower; and for a better look I've put in an inset (but here, I think, the species is 'morio').
