Our Hortus has a pleasant stand of these towering Ginger Lilies, endemic to Nepal, which survive our own winters (for a picture of the flowers, see my earlier www.flickr.com/photos/87453322@N00/28819250404/in/photoli...). In today's low hibernal Sun yellow-orange seed pods were cracking open to reveal red-orange seeds.
