Merry Spring. Arnhem on the Nederrijn and White Dead-nettle, Lamium album, Arnhem, The Netherlands
It is said that White Dead-nettle makes the heart merry. Well, that was hardly necessary on such a bright Spring day as this: the river views made merry all on their own. Here's the Nederrijn with Arnhem on its banks. In the distance the tower of the Saint Eusebius Church (at 93 metres). The inset is of White Dead-nettle.
I walked more or less along the Nederrijn for quite a while but couldn't get close to its waters due to all the locked-off private properties. Finally I found an access point which led me to a little peninsula with lots of those White Dead-nettles and a good view of the City.
