Color Galore. Large Red Damselfly, Pyrrhosoma nymphula, and Coenagrion puella, Azure Damselfly, on Calla palustris, Water Arum, Hortus Botanicus, Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Lots of insects in the pleasantly sunny Hortus! My eye was caught by the Damselflies of the Large Pond and its pretty, green Water Arum, Calla palustris.

Most of the Damsels - here male - were of the Azure kind; only a few Red.
