Wet Yellow. Daisy, Westerhaven, Groningen, The Netherlands

A bit of Light, a bit of Blue in the sky, a bit of Sun as I ambled leisurely in the heart of chilly Groningen revisiting favorite spots. One of those is the Westerhaven and especially the little raised park leading to the second floor of a shopping centre. Of course there's no harbor here anymore. That harbor was once part of City's bulwarks. It was filled in in the 1960s and gave way to the Westermarkt, a market selling lots of fruit. Later the area was developed into a shopping centre.

But the town authorities also provided a 'breathing natural lung', the little park where this Autumn stand some clumps of this very wet Daisy, which will not survive the coming Winter.

In fact, I'd rather have the usual Heather here because its fresh winter-hard lilacs uplift the heart more than dying yellow.
