Hairy Licker. Scoliid Wasp, Campsomeris sp., on Tridax procumbens, Coatbuttons, Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia

Actually the reason I ambled along Jalan Sudirman and then up Jalan Malioboro - famous drag of Yogyakarta - was not to see the Kraton, the Sultan's Palace. I've seen it a couple of times in the past... But there are pleasant little streets behind that edifice with houses and gardens and even some 'weedy' patches along walls. Lots of wee things there that interest me...

Here's a beautiful Scoliid Wasp, a Campsomeris of some kind, licking away on a flower of the very weedy Coatbuttons or Tridax procumbens.
