The design of the Venice Three Drawer Chest was inspired by Venetian architecture. Venice, the capital of the Veneto, has a rich and diverse architectural style, the most famous of which is the Gothic style. Venetian Gothic architecture is a term given to a Venetian building style which combines the Gothic lancet arch with Byzantine and Ottoman influences. This chest is a fusion of both Byzantine and Islamic forms overlaid on a Latin Christian foundation. Entirely hand carved in rosewood, it has Melamine-lined drawers which run on the finest quality drawer slides. The drawer pulls are hand-forged in polished bronze. Four polished bronze glides are provided which also serve as levelers – a useful feature when the floor is uneven. The Venice Three Drawer Chest makes an exceptional Night Stand for upscale residential and hospitality interiors. This exquisitely executed piece is offered in a variety of finishes and accents.
