meet the newest, maisy and daisy, year old rambouillet ewes.
we met the folks we bought them from about half way between, in a grocery store parking lot, backed our two trucks up, and made the switch.
they were buddy lambs to a 14 year old girl's 4-H lamb from last year. they even WASHED them before bringing them to us. i think it was a little hard for her to see them go but she was awfully brave and we did our best to assure her that we would provide them with a good home.
they are certainly proving to be the most human-friendly of the bunch, aside from our bottle lamb and wether lamb.
i was having daymares that something like this might happen, but all went well. the woman in the video? she's from our 'neighborhood'. i really do feel for her, i do, but i can't help laugh, a little.
we did get an awful lot of funny looks, though, with baa-ing lambs in the back of the truck when we parked in the box store parking lot for a quick stop-in for burrittos and then into target, before heading back home.
