I no longer keep such detailed records. Just the yarn, what it was dyed and mordanted with, the date, and maybe the location. Nothing about how long it was soaked and simmered and such.
I'm never going to try to replicate any colors exactly anyways. The fun for me is in trying to dye something new, not so much in doing the same thing over again.
It's nice to look back and remember when and where I was in life when I dyed that particular yarn.....Big Sur, California? Orcas Island, Washington? Durango, Colorado? Seattle, Washington?
