Mogadouro is a Portuguese village, in the district of Bragança, North and sub-region of Alto Trás-os-Montes, with about 3 600 inhabitants.
It is the seat of a municipality with 757.98 kilometers ² and 10 583 inhabitants (2006) [1] divided into 28 parishes. It is bordered to the north by the municipalities of Bragança and Vimioso northeast of Miranda do Douro, southeast Spain, south of Miranda do Cinta and west by Alfandega da Fé
The county received its first charter of King Afonso III on December 27, 1272.
