Leg shaking

Least Sandpiper in migration - I have finally captured the leg shaking just before tucking it up into the shorebird body feathers as it gets ready to take a well deserved rest on a one leg. One thing I have researched years ago and found this interesting fact that a bird with its foot tucked up reduces by half the amount of heat lost through its unfeathered limbs.
