The Cardinals who were dining on the Hawthorne berries in Highland Park this morning can't perch on the thin branches that bear the berries, so they have to reach up, across and occasionally down to get the apparently scrumptious. After ever snowstorm you will see up to a dozen Cardinals chowing down on the berries that are just about the same color as they are.
