At this point, I think Mr S actually started posing. Eventually, he settle in and we just enjoyed each other's company sitting quietly beside each other, me in my Rollator, and he on the ground. Shots of that coming soon....
Wilson's Snipe (Gallinago delicata), the male, I believe, of a pair that were visiting Teal Pond, Thomson Marsh, Kelowna, BC.
For portraits sittings, we hyoomins often check for the proverbial broccoli stuck in our teeth. Mr Snipe should perhaps have checked for a single dandelion seed. OR not! Perhaps it's his idea of a final touch when all dressed up! If you care to, you'll see the seed stuck with him pretty much throughout the entire shoot!
