Pixie Treasure Chest
Ok, so here is putting all the photshop pieces together, my first real 'treatment' of my own to an image. I wanted to make something soft and magical for my pixie friend.
Pixie Treasure Chest
Lindsay – you are a treasure. This photo symbolizes the nine gifts I wish for you.
The jaegermeister glass symbolizes friends and good times. May you lack neither.
The feathers represent wishes for your pixie wings. May you to soar wild and free, wherever your heart desires.
The golden thread is my wish that you never lose hold of the golden thread of hope.
The magic pixie glasses are so you might never lose sight of faith. Also, to remind you sight is not everything; listen to your heart, listen to your soul – remember, it is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
The silver lining to catch you when you lose hold of hope and sight of faith. Treasures come as a result of many things, sometimes misfortune.
The pearls represent wisdom – may you never lose what you have and may it increase in proportion to your joy.
The flowers and gems are my wish that you share in nature’s joy and beauty. May it be a balm to your heart and a soothing spring for your soul.
The gold and silver ring represents platonic and romantic love. May you have an abundance of both and may all who encounter you find you to be treasure you are.
Lastly, a magic pixie mirror, so you always see the most valuable treasure – YOU.
I won't bore you with all the details, but every thing in the frame was chosen and placed for very specific reasons (color symbolism, numerology, etc). It's not the most advanced photoshop treatment, but I must confess to a certain amount of selfish pride about how it turned out. But all that really matters is if she likes it, because from here on out, it is all hers.
