Hall table rescued and recycled...hiding so much!
I rescued this hall table from the curb quite a few years ago. I painted it pink and loved it. Then I moved to a place that was too small to keep it. Since my dad had always admired it, I gave it to him. He sanded, puttied, stripped and painted it black- then gave it back to me as a housewarming gift when we got a bigger place. This is the exact spot it landed when we moved in years ago, and it has been here ever since. However, since it is in the line of traffic, it always seems to catch keys, glasses, wallets, etc. So, I decorated the top with a collection of old wooden boxes, which hold all the bits of everyday life quite nicely. I plan to add covered baskets on the shelves below, to hold a first aid kit, bp cuff, bandages, thermometer, etc.
