Rockets
The new North Shields Transport Hub was officially opened on 2nd September 2023 with the usual ceremony occurring. The facilities place bus departures on two sides of the building, which is adjacent to the T&W Metro station. Note the GNE bus branded as "Rockets". This is a network of services in North Tyneside, mainly previously operated by Arriva. It seems strange branding a bus operation after a steam locomotive. I can see pedestrians crossing over the bus movement areas may be a potential problem as access is very easy.
