Iqra School is a dilapidated 4-room outfit in Machar Colony run by a young philantrophic resident. It lacks basic necessities such as adequate fans, water, desks, text books, hygiene, etc. I discovered this school last year while on a shoot.
Today, the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS Pakistan) is raising funds under its Community Investment program to refurbish Iqra School so that an enabling environment is provided for its impoverished students.
This is what the school looks like now..I'll post some 'After' images as and when.
