N&W 1709 Bevier Street
N&W SD45 1709 and some other N&W and D&H power rest at the D&H Bevier Street yard in Binghamton, NY on January 13, 1979. This was one of those all day trips of logging over 300 miles and hardly seeing a wheel turn on the rail. We did Sayre, PA, Binghamton, and Oneonta. The only thing we saw running was a short train leaving Bevier Street for Oneonta, with faded blue 7323 leading. We thought it an unworthy subject at the time. This turned out to be a day with pretty much nothing but roster shots and yard scenes.
