Lock on Gate
This is a special "hockey puck" User's Group lock on a gate owned by the Bureau of Land Management. The BLM padlock is inside the steel box, below.
Note how the key allows the lock cylinder to slide out, thus releasing the bar that is inserted through the bottom surface of the lock.
Location: Cactus City eastbound rest stop, Interstate 10, 15 miles east of Indio, CA.
