Deb and Nandita
Deb (on the right) is from Bangladesh and is training to be a Barrister in London. She organised Asia Night, and spent the whole week before this photo was taken staying up until 3am working on different aspects of the evening. I'm glad to say it was all worth it - she did an amazing job and everyone really enjoyed it.
Nandita (on the left) is from Delhi, she compared the evening. She is studying law (I think) at SOAS, and is an active human rights campaigner. She is always going on marches and protests against things like the Iraq war. She is often seen with a copy of the New Socialist Magazine in hand.
Deb and Nandita live next door to eachother, they are always having people round to their rooms and feeding them tea and cakes!
