A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT!
Contractors for the ESB, Ireland's main electricity supplier, were sinking 38kv power lines underground at Doorly Park, Martin Savage Terrace and Garavogue, Sligo when they themselves were overcome by that sinking feeling!
They had struck a main local water mains and soon had created a river flood which was 50 feet in length and 10 feet deep in parts within a short time on Tuesday November 20th 2007.
