Without going into somebody's house, this is about the closest approximation

I can get of the Bonaventure pic's (April 6, 1963) POV. Compared to the original

photo, this view would be off to the right and not quite so elevated. The waters of

Courtenay Bay can be seen, but there are not many man-made features remaining

from '63. The viewer's main point of reference is the old Fina/Petro Canada building,

now painted this light colour but still with its 3 garage doors to the right. Off in the

distance are the 3 striped NBEPC stacks, no longer in use. In 1963 there was just

one stack, and if you look carefully at the old pic you can see a plume of smoke

blowing from left to right (i.e., north to south).
