Buick Skylark Convertible for 1972
Buick's intermediate size offering, the Skylark was in the same size class as the Chevrolet Chevelle, Pontiac LeMans and Oldsmobile Cutlass. The Skylark was the model on which the ‘GS’ musclecars were based, similar in relationship as the SS396 (based on the Chevelle), GTO (LeMans) and 442 (Cutlass). From 1970-on the GM intermediate models could be ordered with V-8 engines as large as 455 cubic inches (454 for the Chevrolet).
