Rhubarb & Ginger Conserve
This is a bit different from my usual photos but just thought I'd include it for fun.
I ran across this at a shop in Laguna Hills, California that specializes in British foods. Rhubarb with ginger is a flavor that I've never seen nor tasted before. But because I also like strawberry-rhubarb pie, I decided to give it a try.
It's delicious! Is this a common flavor variety in the UK? I've seen ginger preserves before in other British grocery stores but not rhubarb with ginger.
I like the moderate tartness imparted by the rhubarb, the sharp taste of ginger and of course the sweetness from the sugar mixed in.
When I finish this jar I'll look for it again, perhaps online because it would be a 6+ hour drive to the store where I bought this!
