Two Hitchhikers on Lampson in Seal Beach

Circa 1972. I probably took this photo because I recognized the young woman with her thumb extended as a schoolmate. I'm fairly positive she was a resident of College Park East, hence the direction of her prospective travel.

Viewing south. I would imagine that most people living in the area today would understandably have no idea of this particular location. The structure in the background, an ARCO gasoline station, no longer exists and the entire area has been reutilized.

At this time, at least two holes of the Old Ranch Country Club golf course were situated on the south side of Lampson Avenue, off in the distance. That's where Sunrise Senior living is situated now. Those holes were accessed via a tunnel that ran underneath Lampson.

Taken from the passenger side of my friend's car, using my mom's Olympus Pen-D half-frame 35mm film camera.
