Mr The Chimp
Fighting
Aestron quickly went to the main gate an questioned the guards about people who had recently left the city. They told him that not many people had come through Glassberg, as blizzards were not uncommon in the region, and it wasn’t worth the risk of traveling from the nearest settlement. The only people of suspicion were a group of performers who were still in the city, and some mercenaries, who were also in the city. He decided to check the on the mercenary group first. They were staying in the inn, just like him.
Upon arriving at the inn, he asked the innkeeper if the mercenaries had been suspicious, and was told that they had left less than ten minutes before. Aestron quickly ran outside and scoured the area. He found his quarry on the way out the gate. He followed them for hours, until they went into a cave. Aestron followed them in, and was careful to stay out of sight. He turned a corner and found himself on the battlements a small, but comfortable tower on top of hill.
“Halt!” shouted a voice from behind. He quickly turned around and stabbed the bandit. As the bandit fell, he saw a red boar insignia on his back.
“The red boars, eh?” Aestron murmured. The red boars were a bandit clan well known for stealing famous and valuable objects.
He went down a flight of stairs and saw a bandit, probably the leader, and the helm, laying on a nearby bench. He slowly walked up to the bandit with his sword drawn, but as he was about to jab him, the bandit suddenly turned around, holding a sword pointing at Aestron’s heart.
Aestron batted away the sword, and swung and the bandits neck, but was blocked. After a thirty seconds of clashing blades, Aestron dispatched him, and took the helm. Due to all the noise that he knew the battle must have made, he quickly ran out of the tower.
He turned around and spotted three silhouettes chasing him.
At the bottom of the hill he spotted a stable, with multiple horses tethered inside. He quickly cut the rope fettering a big black horse to the stable, and rode out into the night with the helm tucked under his left arm, and his sword at his side.
