Carlisle Cemetery, 1 February 11 (1 of 2)
Carlisle Cemetery is an amazing place, and well worth a visit - especially in view of the excellent parking provision at the Crematorium off Dalston Rd. Although there wasn't much of interest bird-wise today (certainly nothing to match the Sparrowhawk I spotted here last time) I did get to see a Red Squirrel, as well as a few Greys. There's an Owl Conservation Area in the north-west corner, and there are (or at least were) some resident Tawnies - although these are notoriously difficult to spot when roosting in the day time. I'll certainly be having another go soon though...
