Hoh Rain Forest

Olympic National Park, Washington

there are many ways in this world that one can feel insignificant in the BIG scheme of things. one of the more pleasureable is to take a trip to the Hoh Rain Forest and stand among the giant trees...the beauty and splendor of nature is almost overwhelming. so much rain the roots don't have to go deep for water (no tap roots). almost like the cypress trees in florida. this makes them susceptible to falling in high winds and pacific storms.
