PBR World Finals at Thomas and Mack - October 20 to October 24, 2010
I attended the 2010 PBR World Finals, and I will show you the rides, the wrecks, the celebration, and the disappointments, as only I can. I was there for every crack of the gate, and invite you along for the ride. Hang on for the fastest eight seconds, and the toughest sport on dirt.
Round Six aka The Championship Round of the World Finals was held on October 24, 2010. The Thomas and Mack had 16,261 fans who watched The Championship Round, which followed the completion fifth round.
The Championship Round Bull Riders were the top fifteen riders after the scores from the first five rides were combined. These top fifteen riders would be matched against the best bulls in the business, including Major Payne, Bones, Uncle Buck, Chicken on a Chain, and Big Tex.
Robson Palermo of Rio Branco, Brazil won The Championship Round with 91.25 on RMEF Gunpowder & Lead of Robinson / Braithwaite. Robson was the bull rider in Round 4 (Saturday night) who was carried out of the arena on a stretcher, after he injured his neck while dismounting. Robson was cleared to ride on Sunday, after x-rays and a MRI. The crowd cheered the heart and try Robson showed for riding on Sunday.
I would like to thank the PBR for a great event, the bull riders for the courage, heart, and try they showed, the bull fighters who protect the fallen, and the stock contractors who brought the best bulls in the world to the World Finals.
