Simba, Twiga
When I asked the kids what they wanted to learn about, they mentioned a lot of different African mammals and said they wanted to play games as well. We decided to take American games and twist them so they would have a wildlife spin.
On this day I decided to teach them Red Light, Green Light or Simba, Twiga (Lion, Giraffe). I taught them about the hunting techniques of lions. Lions stalk their prey until they're as close as possible to their target before beginning their attack. Whenever their prey makes a movement or turns, lions freeze and try to sink to the savanna grass. It's basically the same as a nonverbal version of Red Light, Green Light.
