Zooming in, you can see the CD that Zombie Rob has taken in the neck, fired from the Romero K-19 Zombie Zapper (Patent Refused) wielded by the Z-hunter in the film. the idea is that the disc was deflected somehow and failed to decapitate the undead head or destroy the Zom's brain. In this case a miss ain't as good as a mile.
I also built the Zombie Zapper and will load a picture of that when I have one available.
