Signed for Route 36 EASTWICK and still painted in PTC green and cream, SEPTA-surface air-electric PCC 2050 (St Louis 1940) emerges from 40th & Woodland portal, Philadelphia PA 8-20-80. Prewar PCC's had air brakes (hence the air-electric label), lacked standee windows, and had the windshield at a much flatter angle than the postwar cars.
