Blackhorse Road

After much delay the introduction of electric traction on the Gospel Oak-Barking line seems to be paying dividends, with decent patronage. It used to be a real backwater... but my, the trains today, while being more frequent, just crawl along at about 25 mph (compare that with the brisk operation of the Underground).
