Erectheion, Southeast Corner
SE corner of Erechtheion.
The Erectheion is an odd building, following none of the conventions of normal Greek temples. A karyatid porch (maiden-shaped columns) is on the western end of the south wall. The eastern end has tall, graceful Ionic columns.
The karyatid porch faces the long side of the Parthenon across the path leading up from the Propylaia.
