Next the Kress was Woolworth's. It appears to be of a later vintage with a more streamlined modern design in glazed terra cotta.
"Built in 1916, this 'five-and-ten-cent store" was remodeled in 1940, which accounts for its Art Deco touch, intended to make it fit in with other Art Deco storefronts next to and across from it. The building neatly turns the corner with its hexagonal tower, but the marquee distracts from this." (marquee has been removed)
