Portrait of Jane Russell, movie star of the 1940's and 50"s. Actually I learned some surprising information about her while gathering photos for reference. She was deeply religious and very much a woman with many sides. After meeting the Queen of England, she learned that there were thousands of orphaned children after WWII. She founded an adoption organization to facilitate the adoption of them into American homes. The W.A.I.F. (World Adoption International Fund) helped over 50,000 children find homes. Acrylic painting, 11" x 14" on canvas panel. Dec. 2017.
