Caligraphy artist

I've seen this kind of dedication to the art before, and I have a great respect for the people who practice it.

 

Caligraphy is highly regarded in China. These people practice their art with water for ink, so the quality of their work can only be assessed in the moment, before the ink evoporates into the aether.

 

For reasons I cannot explain, this practice reminds me of Kafka's story A Hunger Artist.
