Arming Doublet Front
Late 15th century padded & quilted "arming doublet. Detachable sleeves. Fine Italian linen and organic cotton batting. This is what soldiers would have worn under their chainmail & armor, padded and quilted to protect against banging metal and abrasions. Color came out way too bright in these photos, looks almost pink, whereas it is really a dark cranberry red. At any rate, it's all done and ready to ship!
