Summer Streets
Summer Streets are BACK!
Sunday May 1st, our buzzing main street called Laugavegur was officially closed off to motor traffic! It´´s been done in previous years and the transition to closed streets has been given the title of ‘Summer Streets’. To us Icelanders, this means more than just pedestrian dominated streets closed to vehicles. This means much longer days with more sunlight allowing us to stay out in the wilderness longer and enjoy a beer (or two) on a patio outside.
