The image makes one wonder that if Wolverhampton Corporation had lived on beyond 1969, and assuming that it survived deregulation of the bus industry in 1986, would it have taken on the Dennis Trident as a bus type? If it had, then it's almost certain that the council would have shaken off their traditional green and yellow livery long before, likely opting for something gaudy, corporate and politically accepted for the time.
In 2026, 719 lives on at the Transport Museum Wythall, while the Dennis Trident was scrapped in 2024.
