A nice late '70s view of Chesterfield's Central Pavement looking towards Vicar Lane. The East Midland, Albion Lowlander bus beginning its 10-mile journey South to Matlock in the Peak District.
The scene is still recognisable today, but the street has been stone-cobbled and is now a pedestrianised zone, like so many town streets are these days.
