Any ideas as to which one it was?
I don't know the origin of this Duple 'Viceroy' bodied Bedford VAL, even though I have vague recollections of going to the rear of the vehicle to look at the registration plate. The colours suggest that it might be ex Leon of Finningley, Yorks, however, the photo was taken in a scrapyard in Clarks Lane Willenhall, West Midlands, so it would have been some distance from home? It’s got no seats in it, so could have been an abandoned project to convert it to a racing car transporter, or maybe a mobile home?
As I photographed this VAL, there was an ERF 'KV' cabbed 8-wheel lorry being cut up in the yard. Here: www.flickr.com/photos/8050359@N07/1429030659/
