Water Street, Liverpool, 1967-68

Liverpool City Transport L357, typifies the slab-fronted, but functional appearance of Liverpool's half-cabbed, tin-fronted buses of the late 1950s and early 1960s. L357 was a Crossley bodied Leyland PD2/20 that had been new to Liverpool in May 1958. She is pictured at rest in Water Street, Liverpool circa 1967-8.

Most of these buses were withdrawn in the 1970s, but sister bus L255 (VKB 711), survives in preservation.

It would appear from a previous photo I post some months ago, and taken in the same location, that the 57A service was jointly worked with Ribble.
