3-phased out

A picture from circa 1967. Walsall Corporation, Sunbeam trolleybuses 337 and 336, and Guy Arab II motorbus 210, parked up at the back of Birchills Depot after withdrawal from Traffic. 336 and 337 had been taken out of service in 1966, and had slowly been cannibalised for spare parts for other similar trolleybuses. For reasons unknown, 336 was never repainted out of its 1950s two-tone blue livery, and is just about evident from this under-exposed view.

210, was one of the ten Wartime Guy Arabs that had been rebodied by Willowbrook of Loughborough in 1953, the original wartime utility bodies on these buses being in a poor state of repair and in need of replacement. All three of these buses had been sold for scrap prior to the WMPTE takeover in October 1969.
